Beginning Strong.

I haven't always been "bigger". When I was young I was a skinny little thing, so active and busy. Then puberty hit and on came the boobs, and the hips, and shortly after the gut. During that time my parents were going through a separation and while I acted like it didn't bother me it was very hard for me to deal with. Worse yet I didn't deal with anything I was feeling, I ate. My father left his family for a deceitful woman in Tennessee who didn't want my brother or I in his life. Eventually my parents got back together but the damage to my body was done.

At 14 I started High School weighing 195lbs. I never spoke up in class and was known as the "quiet girl". During my sophomore year I started worrying about my health. My mom bought a treadmill and I started running and eating healthier. I loss 45lbs over two years. I graduated at my lowest weight and felt amazing about myself.

Over the years I gradually put on 15lbs, going up to 165lbs. Then I became pregnant. I ate great the first 5 months and experienced constant morning sickness. During that time I only gained 10lbs. The last 4 months I had no morning sickness and my appetite returned. I gained a total of 75lbs during my pregnancy. At my last doctors appointment before the birth of my daughter I weighed 224lbs. Now I am determined to get back to the weight I was. I want my great body image back, I need to get back to the old me.

I lost 3lbs over the weekend in Ohio, this is huge considering I've been stuck at 200lbs since last October. I move to Texas with my fiancé Memorial Day weekend. It currently my goal to 10lbs this month. I know may professionals don't consider this a healthy weight loss but I have a lot to lose. Thanks to a friend I will be using weight watchers online tools to monitor my eating. I will be going to the YMCA to workout 5 days a week. 3 of those day I will be doing zumba. I LOVE ZUMBA!! It's so much fun!! In 2 classes my butt and hips were noticeably smaller!!
